Dry, freshly cleaned wall-to-wall carpet in a living room near Chattanooga

Carpet cleaning for homes around Chattanooga, dry in about an hour

Hardly any water, non-toxic solutions, and a technician who reads the carpet before choosing a setting. The soil comes up out of the base of the pile, and the floor is back under the furniture about an hour after the last pass.

The short answer

Carpet cleaning in Chattanooga and the towns around it runs from $109 for a three-room job of up to 450 square feet, with extra rooms from $40, and every visit starts at $99. Our equipment lifts the soil out of the base of the pile with very little water, so the carpet is walkable in an hour and stays cleaner roughly three times longer. Call 423-284-0493 and tell us which rooms.

More about carpet cleaning

Why people call us back

A deeper clean, and nothing left behind.

A carpet holds soil two ways: grit down at the base of the pile, and an oily film up on the fiber where your eye reads it as gray. Neither needs a soaking to come out. We go after both with solution and agitation instead of volume.

The person who knocks is on our payroll and trained by us, not a subcontractor picking up a lead off the phone. He works the traffic lanes slowest of anything in the house, because that is where the job is won or lost, and he will tell you at the door what is soil and what is wear. If the clean misses, we come back, and if it misses again the job is free.

Stays cleaner 3× Longer between cleanings measured against a soapy conventional clean

Why does carpet feel tacky a few days after it was cleaned?

Because the soap never all came back out. Whatever the machine leaves behind dries down into the carpet as a film, and film is glue. The next shoe that crosses the room hands its dirt straight to it.

✓Bare fiber, nothing coating itWe work with a fraction of the water and a solution that lifts out with the soil, so the fibers are left clean instead of coated.
✓Stays cleaner about 3× longerCarpet cleaned this way holds its look roughly three times as long between visits as carpet left with detergent sitting in it.
✓Stains don’t wick back after we leaveA spot that reappears a few days after a cleaning is residue wicking up from below as the carpet dries. Our process lifts it out instead of pushing it down, so that comeback is kept to a minimum.
✓Dry in about an hourLess water in means no soaked pile and no fans humming all evening. Beds get made and dogs get let back in the same afternoon.

The method, in full

How low-moisture carpet cleaning actually works

Start with what is in the carpet. Most of the weight is dry: sand, dirt, fiber, dander, the fine dust that rides in off the road. Above that sits a thin oily layer from cooking, skin and shoes, and that layer grabs new soil and holds the gray in a walking lane. A gallon of water removes neither one. A solution that breaks the oily layer, plus agitation that lifts grit out of the base of the carpet fibers, removes both.

So the job runs in four moves. Dry soil comes out first, because wetting grit turns it to mud and drives it deeper. Then the pre-treatment goes down and is left alone for a few minutes, the step a cheap clean skips. Then the fiber gets worked, the step that separates soil from the carpet. Last, the small amount of moisture we introduced comes back out with everything it lifted.

Because the total water is a fraction of a conventional wet clean, it stays where the dirt is, up in the fiber. It never soaks through the carpet backing into the floor beneath, and it never leaves the backing damp for two days. That is also why our technician can say yes to wool, blends and the delicate fibers a soaking method has to turn down: the label is read before anything is unloaded, and the process is gentle enough to honor what it says. The same thinking runs through the S-code and X-code fabrics on our upholstery page.

Everything we spray is eco-friendly and non-toxic, safe around kids, dogs and people who react to what is in the air. Nothing soapy stays down in the carpet to turn tacky and start collecting soil the week after we leave. Households with a dog, a crawling baby or somebody who reacts to what the carpet holds tend to add our allergy treatment. It rides down in the cleaning solution, to the base of the pile where that material sits.

Dry time

How long your floor is out of service

About an hour, and damp is a fairer word for it than wet. Clean socks are fine the moment we pull out of the driveway.

Water that never went into the carpet does not have to find its way back out. The only moisture left when our technician packs up sits on the tips of the fiber, and that goes off quickly in any month of the year. Deep pile, shut vents or a big pet treatment can stretch it, and you hear that before we start.

What a room includes, and what moves the number

A three-room job is a bundle, not a thinner version of the work. Every room in it gets the same dry-soil pass, the same pre-treatment left to dwell, and the same slow work down the lanes.

What moves a total is square footage, stairs, and the treatments you decide you want. Pet urine takes protein and enzyme chemistry that pulls the accident apart where it soaked in. A protectant leaves the fiber able to shed the next spill. The high-traffic treatment is extra product, longer dwell and passes slow enough to stand the pile back up. Our technician measures, you say where the trouble is, and you hear what each one would do for you before you decide on any of it.

Put simply: you love the clean or you do not pay, and a treated spot that works its way back up brings us out again at no charge.

Comes out almost every time

  • Coffee, tea, soft drinks and dropped food
  • Pet accidents, treated with protein and enzyme products that take the urine apart instead of masking it. Odor removal is 100% guaranteed
  • Gray in the walking lanes
  • Dirt and mud tracked in from the drive
  • Wine and juice caught while they are still fresh

Nobody can fix these

  • Bleach spots, where the color has been stripped out of the fiber
  • Rust that has set
  • Permanent dye damage

We flag these during the walk-through, take them off the quote, and you are never billed for an attempt we told you would fail.

Pick the spill, get a straight answer

Dirt and grit

Ground-in dirt is rarely just dirt. It comes in with sharp grit mixed all the way through it, so a traffic path is two problems at once: soil ground into the carpet fibers, and grit that cuts the fibers while it is being ground in. Work at it wet and you turn the grit into slurry and drive it to the backing. We let it go dry, take the solids off the top first, then break what is left with a dedicated pre-treatment so the soil lifts out instead of being pushed down.

Pet messes

Urine is protein, and a spray from the supermarket only paints over it. Give it a week or two and the smell is back in the room. A professional protein and enzyme treatment takes the urine apart where it soaked in rather than sitting on top of it, and the odor side of that job is 100% guaranteed.

Coffee, tea and soda

All three leave tannin behind, and tannin gets more stubborn by the hour as it oxidizes onto the fibers. Press a towel into it; do not scrub. A spill caught inside a day nearly always lifts clean, and an older ring will usually come back a long way even if it will not vanish.

Wine and red drinks

Dye, not dirt, which is a different fight altogether. Nylon is the worst of it, because the color can lock into the fiber for good. Nothing else on this list rewards moving fast the way a red spill does. A fresh one generally comes out; one that has been sitting may need a reduction step, and you will hear which of the two yours is before we start.

Grease and cooking oil

Water will not lift oil, which is why a rented machine tends to spread it rather than remove it. Worse, oil keeps grabbing every bit of soil that walks past, so the mark goes gray and creeps outward. It wants a solvent-side pre-treatment first, before any water is introduced at all.

Traffic lanes

The worn track between the door and the sofa

Every house has one, and it is why most people finally call. Two things are going on in that lane. Grit has worked down to the base of the carpet fibers, where each grain acts as an abrasive under a shoe. And the pile has been mashed flat along one route, so light comes off it differently than off the rest of the room.

That lane also takes on whatever comes in on shoes from the drive, which is why it darkens first. Our high-traffic treatment answers both problems: extra product, longer dwell, and passes taken slowly enough to stand the pile back up. Across the 69 jobs this market finished in the last 90 days, that lane is the most common reason for the call.

The honest limit: color comes back and crushed fiber stands up again, but fiber worn down to the backing is gone, and no cleaner on earth puts it back. Our technician tells you which of the two you have while you are both still standing in the room.

The easy part

Five minutes of tidying and you are ready

Pick up, do not pack up

Shoes, toys, charging cords, the dog bowl. Leave the furniture alone; our technician slides what one person can lift and cleans around the rest.

The house can stay shut

No fans borrowed from the garage, no doors propped open on a cold afternoon. Nothing to air out when nothing is soaking.

Say what the spot was

Apple juice and a pet accident look identical on carpet and take opposite treatments. Thirty seconds of history saves a second visit.

Save a spot out front

Parking near the door shortens setup. On the narrow streets downtown and up along Missionary Ridge that is not always possible, and we manage either way.

Book a time on our scheduling page, call 423-284-0493, or text 423-284-0493. We answer Mon–Sat 8 AM–6 PM and take Sunday off. The price sheet is identical everywhere we run, from Hixson down to Ringgold, and the same visit can take in your area rugs and the sofa while our technician is already on site.

Questions we get asked in the driveway

Is low-moisture cleaning strong enough for carpet nobody has cleaned in years?

Yes, and water volume has little to do with it. The solution, the dwell time and the agitation do the lifting. Our technician pre-treats ten-year-old carpet twice and works the lanes slower. It comes back further than most owners expect.

What is not included in the three-room price from $109?

Three rooms, up to 450 square feet of carpet between them, with routine spotting. Hallways start at $20, stairs at $40 a flight. Pet urine typically runs $30 to $40 a room, protectant and sanitizer typically $20 to $30, and an oversized room starts at $50. All priced before we start.

How do you clean a carpeted staircase, and what does a flight cost?

Largely by hand. A staircase gives an open-floor machine nothing to follow, so our technician works each tread and riser with hand tools, keeps the moisture low and reads the pile direction on the way down. A flight typically runs $40 to $50, and it is on the written quote before the first step is touched.

Do you read the care tag, or is every carpet cleaned the same way?

Every carpet gets read first. Our technician checks the fiber, the tag where there is one, and how the pile was made before choosing a setting, because wool, nylon, polyester and blends do not all take the same treatment. The low-moisture process is what lets us say yes to nearly all of them, including the delicate fibers a soaking method has to turn down.

Can you bring back the gray path between my kitchen and the couch?

Usually a long way. That lane is grit driven to the base of the carpet fibers plus pile crushed flat by one route walked all day. Cleaning addresses both, and our high-traffic treatment typically runs $20 to $30 a room. Worn-off fiber nobody brings back.

Is there damage you will tell me not to pay for?

Yes. Bleach spots, set rust and permanent dye damage are changes to the color of the fiber itself, and nothing puts color back into a fiber with none. Our technician names them on sight and keeps them off the quote.

Do you charge differently on the Georgia side of the line?

No. A house in Ringgold pays off the same sheet as one on the North Shore, with nothing added for crossing the line. Routes run daily through Hamilton and Bradley counties and into Catoosa, Walker and Whitfield. Call 423-284-0493 for the day we are closest.
