Chattanooga carpet cleaners, compared on what they publish
Ten companies do most of the carpet cleaning between downtown Chattanooga and the Georgia line. Two of them publish a price. Five publish a dry time and five do not. This page sets all ten against the same four public tests, and yes, we are one of the ten.
- Only two companies in this market put a carpet price on a page: Zerorez at three rooms from $109 with a free hallway, and us at three rooms up to 450 square feet from $109.
- Five of the ten publish a dry time. Stanley Steemer, Zerorez, Heavenly Touch, Complete Carpet Care and Finesse do not.
- Review counts are not interchangeable. Stanley Steemer sits near 2,000, Complete Carpet Care holds 436 at a flat 5.0 with no website at all, and ours reads 4.9 across 510.
- If the rug matters more than the carpet, the two names that own rug search here both clean off-site. Ours is cleaned on your own floor.
How these ten ended up on one page
This list sits on our own website and we are on it. That is a bias, better named than hidden, so here is the guard against it: every column below came off a public page or a public Google listing, and you can check the lot in about ten minutes.
What they put in public
Method, dry time and price, taken from each company's own website. Where a company publishes nothing, the table says so.
Their words, marked as theirs
A claim we cannot check from the outside appears in quotation marks with their name on it. We do not grade anybody else's homework.
Where they show up
Google's local results and its plain web results for carpet, rug and pet searches across Chattanooga, Hixson and Ringgold, read on 17 and 18 September 2026.
What is not here
No paid placement, no complaints we did not see for ourselves, nothing about a company's work we have no honest way of knowing.
Every company below is real, established and answering its phone. Ten credible options is a good problem to have.
The four numbers, side by side

Ratings move. Treat that last column as a photograph of two days in September, and read the recent reviews yourself before committing to anybody, us included.

What the table leaves out
Stanley Steemer, 7611 Lee Highway
The largest operation in the market by some distance. The branch opened in 2019 and the company puts 18 technicians on its own Chattanooga page. A water-based process run off van-mounted equipment, no dry time and no price on the location page. What you get is a quoting tool. Their page names real places better than any national brand here, from St. Elmo to Ooltewah to Rossville. Worth knowing: Google's own AI summary for “carpet cleaning chattanooga” names three businesses, and they are Stanley Steemer, us, and Zerorez.
Zerorez, 50 Frazier Avenue
The only other company here with a price on a page, and it is the same headline number as ours with a hallway added. The process is built around what they call Zr Water, cleaning without soaps or detergents so nothing sticky is left behind, backed by a 30-Day Gotta-Love-It-Guarantee. Their offer page does not say whether a square-foot limit applies, so we will not invent one for them or claim ours is the better deal. Ours has a limit and it is printed: 450 square feet across three rooms, on the pricing page.
Oxi Fresh and Xtrax, the two speed claims
Oxi Fresh runs a low-moisture, oxygen-based system and publishes the flattest dry-time promise in the market: carpets “dry in just one hour”. They also take bookings around the clock online, and they run a separate franchise on the Georgia side. Xtrax, up on Signal Mountain Road, calls its service waterless and says it leaves carpet “Dry and Ready to Use … Immediately”. That is their claim, and it is the fastest published anywhere here. Neither company publishes a price.
Heavenly Touch and Carpet Boys, the two strongest local sites
Heavenly Touch is the number one plain web result for carpet cleaning in this market, and it earns it: in business since 1994, a named service area running from Soddy-Daisy to Fort Oglethorpe, a water-based clean paired with a low-moisture dry-soil pass and an enzyme pre-spray. It ranks there while publishing neither a price nor a dry time. Carpet Boys is the newest and hungriest name on the list: online booking, a low-moisture process, a published one-to-two-hour dry time, BBB accreditation at an A rating. No price, though.
Complete Carpet Care, Harrison
The most interesting entry on the list. A flat 5.0 across 436 reviews, more than any other local independent here, and no website to read. Everything runs through the phone. If your test is what the neighbors say rather than what a page says, that is the number.
Georgia is its own market
Finesse sits first in the Ringgold results at 4.9 across 59 reviews and second in the plain web results, on a site that is essentially a name, a phone number and a town. No method, no dry time, no price. It ranks on reputation and proximity, and the Chattanooga names barely trouble it. Wann's Chem-Dry works the Georgia counties, Dade through Murray, on its hot carbonating process with a one-to-two-hour dry time, spread across two Google listings sharing one phone number.
Rugs are a separate decision from carpet

The two names that own rug search in Chattanooga are not carpet cleaners at all. Interior Care on West Bell Avenue has been owned and run by women since 1988 and sits first in the plain web results on 17 Google reviews, so its ranking comes from age and real pages. Persian Rug Company on Dayton Boulevard is a fourth-generation rug store, 5.0 across 21, offering free same-day estimates.
Both clean rugs away from your house. Carpet Boys will do either. None of the three publishes a turnaround, so no honest page can tell you how long that wait runs, and we are not going to try.
Our side of it: the rug is cleaned where it already lies, on the floor of the room it belongs to, and the rate does not move for wool, for silk, or for a hand-knotted Oriental. Before anything goes near it, our technician reads the cleaning code on it, because that code decides the method, and the low-moisture process is gentle enough to suit whichever one is printed there. Nothing is rolled up. The rug is back under the furniture the same day.
The question worth asking whoever you hire
Ask what happens before the carpet gets wet.
The dirt that comes into a house here is not fine dust. It carries grit. So the mark on a traffic lane here is two problems wearing one color: something that stains, and something that wears. The long version is in the dirt and grit guide.
The consequence is one step at the start of the job: that loose grit has to come out while it is still dry. Add moisture first and it travels down toward the backing instead of up into the machine. Any company on this list can do it, and the answer you get when you ask tells you plenty.
Then ask who reads the care tag. A sofa or a rug carries a cleaning code, W, S, WS or X, and the code decides the method, not the mood of whoever turns up. Our technicians read it before anything starts, and the low-moisture process is safe on all four codes, including the solvent-only ones. The right answer is a method.
Why the dry-time column tells you about the equipment. A company that gives you the room back inside an hour is running gear that lifts the solution out with the soil. A company that says tomorrow morning is soaking the carpet and leaving the drying to you, and a carpet still damp at bedtime is how a room starts to smell musty. We would rather be gone in an hour than leave you running fans.
One more thing about searching. Type “pet odor removal chattanooga” into Google and eleven of the twenty local results are not carpet cleaners. Read the listing before you dial, or you will end up describing a dog accident to somebody who removes wildlife.
Where we win, and where we do not

We do not win on size. Stanley Steemer has more technicians in this market than we do, and a menu several times longer than ours. We do not win on word of mouth in Harrison, where Complete Carpet Care has 436 people saying the same thing. And we do not win on the Georgia side on reputation, because Finesse got there first and the Facebook groups know it.
What we do is narrow on purpose. Carpet, area rugs, upholstery, pet treatment, allergy treatment and sanitizer, all of it low-moisture, all of it back in use about an hour later. The man who knocks is our own employee, hired and trained here. What he puts down is non-toxic and gentle enough for a household where small children and animals use the floor. Because the soil is lifted out, the lanes take about three times longer to come back. The whole sheet is published before you ever call us. Two guarantees with stated remedies sit behind the work: love the clean or it's free, and a 100% pet odor removal guarantee on pet treatments. Our carpet cleaning page has the process, and the how-often guide has the schedule.
If that is what you want, call or text 423-284-0493 and we will give you a real number for your actual rooms. If one of the other nine fits your house better, call them instead. A market this good is worth shopping.
Questions people ask about this list
Which carpet cleaners around Chattanooga publish a price before you call?
Two of the ten, as of September 2026. Zerorez advertises three rooms of carpet from $109 with a free hallway. We publish three rooms up to 450 square feet from $109, plus every add-on rate beside it: rooms typically $40 to $50, hallways around $20 to $30, stairs about $40 to $50 a flight, pet treatment usually $30 to $40 a room. Stanley Steemer, Oxi Fresh, Heavenly Touch, Carpet Boys, Xtrax, Complete Carpet Care, Wann's Chem-Dry and Finesse all want a phone call or a form first.
Is a perfect 5.0 rating better than a 4.9 built on far more reviews?
They are not the same measurement, so treat them differently. A 5.0 across 120 reviews says nobody has had a bad day yet. A 4.9 across five hundred says a few people have, and you can go and read what happened. Both are worth something. The one thing neither number tells you is how recent the reviews are, which is the part worth ten minutes of scrolling before you book anybody.
Why will most companies here not put a dry time on their website?
Because a number on a page is a promise somebody can hold them to, and an estimate given at the door is not. Five of the ten publish one. Oxi Fresh says one hour, Carpet Boys and Wann's Chem-Dry say one to two, Xtrax says its carpet is ready to use immediately, and ours is dry in about an hour. The other five say nothing at all, or in one case only that carpet dries faster.
Should a house on the Georgia side of the line hire a Georgia company?
Not necessarily, but understand that the Georgia towns and Chattanooga are two different searches with barely overlapping winners. Finesse sits first in the Ringgold results at 4.9 across 59 reviews, and most of the Chattanooga names hardly appear down there at all. We run the Georgia side on the same price sheet as the Tennessee side, with no charge for crossing the state line, the same low-moisture process, and the same written total at the door before anything starts. Call 423-284-0493 and we will tell you the next open window.
Is there a difference between a rug cleaned at my house and one cleaned at a shop?
There is, and it is mostly about your time. A shop takes the rug away, which means loading it, waiting, and fetching it back. None of the rug specialists here publishes a turnaround, so nobody should be telling you how long that wait is, ourselves included. We clean the rug in the room it is already sitting in, starting at one dollar per square foot no matter what the pile is made from, and it stays in your house throughout.
Who paid to be on this list, and how often is it checked?
Nobody paid, and nobody was left off for being good at their job. The ten here are the companies with a real presence in the Chattanooga results and enough public reviews to judge. Everything in the table was read from public pages and Google listings on 17 and 18 September 2026. Ratings drift and offers change, so check the two or three you shortlist before you pick up the phone.
