The run up 27

Sixteen miles up 27, and walkable again the same morning

Carpet cleaning in Soddy-Daisy takes three rooms up to 450 square feet in one visit, and you walk on it again in about an hour. We come straight up US-27 past the Sequoyah turnoff, roughly twenty-five to thirty minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Anything carrying a label gets that label read before we decide how to clean it.

US-27 is the town's address system. Directions here start with which exit you take and whether the house sits toward the lake or up under the ridge, so tell us that much and we already know the drive. Call or text 423-284-0493 and you get a real clock time, not a four-hour window.

The hour comes from the low-moisture method. The technician lays down very little solution, and most of that lifts back out on the same pass, which is why the floor is walkable before the kids get back from the fields on Depot Street. The long version of how that works sits on the carpet cleaning page.

Our Promise

If the clean doesn't satisfy you, the visit is free.

Not a credit toward next time. Not a manager who stops returning calls. Tell us what fell short, we come back and redo it at no charge, and if it still isn't right, we tear up the invoice and you owe nothing.

Plain numbers

Nothing moves once we are in the driveway

Three rooms start at $109, and nothing on this sheet shifts after that. Our technician measures the rooms, you point out what has been living on that floor, and the total is written down before the first machine comes inside.

Three roomsfrom $109Up to 450 sq ft between them; every visit from $99
Each room aftertypically $40–$50Large rooms typically $50 to $100
Hallwaytypically $20–$30Stairs typically $40 to $50 a flight
Area rugsfrom $1/sq ftCleaned on your own floor

Treatments ride along with the cleaning instead of taking a visit of their own. High-traffic work goes on the lane worn in from the carport door, and our technician says first whether your floor will show enough of a difference to be worth it. Pet work goes on each room that needs it and nowhere else, and the smell is covered by our 100% pet odor removal guarantee, which earns its keep when the dog comes back in off the ridge. Protectant and sanitizer are offered room by room.

Every area rug is read off its own code, Oriental and silk and wool each handled the way their code says, and it gets cleaned right where it lies. Nothing of yours leaves the house. The details are on the area rug page, couch and mattress figures sit on the upholstery page for a whole-house visit, and the full sheet is on the pricing page.

What the floors are

Manufactured floors, and the light hand they need

Carpet being cleaned inside a Soddy-Daisy home

A good share of the homes in Soddy-Daisy are manufactured, and those floors are a thin layer of cushion over particleboard decking. Soak one and the decking swells, the seams telegraph up through the carpet, and you look at that line for good.

So we do not soak one. Our low-moisture process wets a fraction of what a soaking machine would, lifts most of it straight back out with the soil in it, and leaves the deck dry while the fiber comes clean. The same pass that suits a manufactured home suits a brick house up under the ridge.

The light hand carries over to everything else on the ticket. Our technician reads the care tag on every rug and piece of furniture before anything is opened, and W, S, WS or X decides the method: water-based, solvent only, either, or vacuum and a straight word. A delicate or solvent-only fabric is safer under this process than under any method that starts by soaking it. The code sets the method, and the total stays where it was written.

What you get for that care is a deeper clean that holds. The soil comes up and out instead of being driven down to the backing, no film is left behind to catch the next month of it, and the carpet keeps that look roughly three times longer. Nothing we put into the fiber is harsh, which matters in a home where a toddler and a dog use the same floor.

The second season

Six weeks of full rentals, then all of them empty at once

TVA's Sequoyah Nuclear Plant sits inside the Soddy-Daisy city limits, and every refueling outage brings in a contract workforce nothing else in north Hamilton County comes close to, hundreds of people at a time who all need somewhere to sleep for six to eight weeks.

Those people fill rental houses, duplexes and short-term units for six to eight weeks, and then they go home together. If you own any of that inventory you have a turn cycle nobody else around here has: a date you can see coming, and several units hitting it in the same few days. That is a booking, not an emergency, and it belongs on the calendar before the crew packs up.

Group them and it is one drive, one set-up and a separate dated receipt for every unit, which is what a tenant file needs when somebody argues about the carpet later. Over the past 90 days this market put 72 finished jobs on our board, and 61 of those came home with a matched before-and-after photo pair, so nobody is learning the work on your building. The between-tenants page covers how we time a clean to a walk-through, and pet treatment goes on any unit that smells like a dog on the way in.

The permanent side of the plant changes the calendar as well. A three-shift workforce means a real share of this town is home on a Tuesday morning and asleep on a Tuesday night, the reverse of how the rest of the valley books us. We run Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and we would rather have your shift than our guess at it.

Stays cleaner 3× Longer between cleanings on average vs. a soapy conventional clean

Ever had carpet turn sticky a week after a cleaning?

That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays there, and sticky fiber grabs the next soil that walks through the door.

✓Nothing sticky left behindOur low-moisture process uses a fraction of the water and leaves the fiber clean and bare, so there's no soapy film for dirt to cling to.
✓Stays cleaner about 3× longerOn average, carpet cleaned our way holds its look about three times longer between visits than carpet left with detergent residue in it.
✓No re-soiling a month laterThe gray path that reappears a few weeks after a cleaning is almost always residue pulling soil back. Take the residue away and it stops happening.
✓Dry in about an hourA fraction of the water means no soaked carpet and no box fans running all evening. Furniture, kids and dogs are back on it the same afternoon.

Questions Soddy-Daisy owners and landlords ask

Can you book a block of rental turns when the outage crew leaves?

Yes, and that is the way to do it. Send the addresses and the week the units go empty and we put them on one written quote, one drive and one set-up, with a separate dated receipt for every unit so each file has its own paper. Three rooms and the first 450 square feet go on one visit, with extra rooms, stairs and hallways listed separately so each unit file reads plainly on its own. Carpet is dry in about an hour, which means a unit we finish before lunch can be shown the same day.

Is a manufactured-home floor safe to clean with water?

It is safe with our low-moisture process, which we use on every manufactured home in Soddy-Daisy. Very little water goes down, and most of what does comes straight back out on the same pass, so the decking underneath never gets soaked. If a home already has soft spots or open seams, our technician points them out before starting.

Do you work around a three-shift schedule at the plant?

We book Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, closed Sunday, and you pick the clock time that fits your sleep. Plenty of our Soddy-Daisy appointments are mid-morning for people who worked overnight and want the house quiet again by early afternoon. Tell us which shift you are on when you call 423-284-0493 and we schedule around it.

What does particleboard decking do when it gets wet?

It swells, and it does not go back. Once the decking under a manufactured floor takes on water the surface lifts and the seams telegraph up through the carpet for good. A soaking wet cleaning is a bad trade in these homes. Our process wets a fraction of what a soaking machine would and lifts that back out on the same pass, so the carpet gets clean and the deck stays dry. The ducts running under those floors stay dry along with it.

Does a visit still start at $99 this far up 27?

Same list sixteen miles north as downtown. Three rooms start at $109 covering 450 square feet, rooms past that typically run $40 to $50, hallways $20 to $30, high-traffic work $20 to $30 a room, pet treatment $30 to $40 a room with pet visits starting at $149, protectant or sanitizer $20 to $30 a room with those visits starting at $119, and area rugs from $1 a square foot cleaned in the home. Every visit starts at $99, and the exact figure is on paper before we start.
