The short answer

Carpet cleaning in East Ridge starts at $109, three rooms and up to 450 square feet of it. Ten minutes from downtown Chattanooga, through the tunnels.

Getting here

Ten minutes past the tunnels, dry in about an hour

The East Ridge line is 3.8 miles from downtown Chattanooga. The crew takes whichever road is moving that morning: I-24 east to the Germantown and Belvoir exits, or straight out Ringgold Road and through the tunnels.

Three rooms of carpet get cleaned with very little water going in, and the soil comes up out of the pile. Call 423-284-0493, tell us how many rooms have carpet, and you get a starting figure over the phone. The technician measures the floor, and the number he writes down is the one on the invoice.

Our technician walks the rooms with you and waits for your yes before the first drop of solution goes down. The last 90 days came to 72 finished jobs around this market.

The lay of the land

This side of the tunnels

Missionary Ridge stands between East Ridge and downtown, and in 1929 the Bachman Tubes were driven straight through it: twin tunnels a thousand feet long, named for Dr. Jonathan Bachman. Everybody here still gives directions off them. You are on this side of the tunnels or the other side.

Ringgold Road picks up where the tubes let out and runs the length of town east to I-75. It is the address for most of what East Ridge does, from Armando's and The Hickory Pit to the stores near Exit 1, the first exit in Tennessee coming up out of Georgia.

Off the low side of the road sits Camp Jordan Park, acres of ball fields, an arena and an amphitheater, with CHI Memorial Stadium and its Red Wolves soccer beside the interstate next to it.

All of it ends up on somebody's carpet. Tournament weekends at Camp Jordan send infield dirt home in cleats and gym bags, and it gets walked the length of a hallway before anyone thinks to take their shoes off. Ground-in field dirt is a traffic-lane job, and lifting those lanes is exactly what our carpet cleaning is built for.

The work

Soil lifted out of the pile

Most of what we clean in East Ridge is a single-story house with carpet in the living room, the hallway and three bedrooms, walked every hour of the day by everybody in it. The lane from the front door to the kitchen is where the job is won or lost.

A soapy machine pushes that soil down toward the backing and leaves a film behind that catches the next month of grit, which is why the lane comes back so fast. Our process breaks the film, agitates the soil loose and lifts it up and out of the pile. The carpet stays clean about three times longer, and the room is dry in about an hour because very little water went in to begin with.

The same care goes into the fabric. The technician reads the code on the sofa, the recliner and the rug before anything starts. You hear how each piece will be handled while we are standing in the room with you.

Nothing we put on a floor is harsh enough to worry a parent or a dog owner, and the person putting it down is one of our own staff.

The other half of our East Ridge work is turnover. A rented house gets cleaned on a deadline with a deposit riding on it, and move-out cleaning comes with a dated receipt you can hand straight to a property manager.

Before and after

Floors we were called out to, twice over

Our technicians photograph the floors they finish, and the owner picked these out of the company's whole file. Real customers, real jobs, no stock library.

What's in the visit

Everything here except the carpet you rang about is optional, talked through while the technician is still walking the floor with you, and nothing goes down that you have not said yes to.

Three rooms, one visitfrom $109450 sq ft of floor, walkable in about an hour
Each room aftertypically $40–$50Hallways typically $20 to $30
Stairs, per flighttypically $40–$50Every visit from $99

Area rugsfrom $1/sq ftCleaned on the floor they live on
Sofafrom $140Sectional from $240
Reclinertypically $40–$50Dining chairs typically $10 to $15

Pet treatment goes after the source of the smell. It still holds once the windows have been shut for a week, and the 100% pet odor removal guarantee stands behind it. Area rugs are worked the same careful way whatever they are made from, wool and silk and Oriental alike. A rug is cleaned flat on the floor it already lives on, and nothing of yours goes out your door.

Furniture goes piece by piece. Carpet, rugs and furniture get handled on one trip under one written total, by one technician who has been trained on all three.

Then the promise that matters most here. Love the clean or it's free. Tell us what fell short and we come back and redo it free; if it is still not right, the visit costs you nothing, and that sits in writing on the same sheet as the price.

Stays cleaner 3× Longer between cleanings on average vs. a soapy conventional clean

Ever had carpet turn sticky a week after a cleaning?

That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays there, and sticky fiber grabs the next soil that walks through the door.

✓Nothing sticky left behindOur low-moisture process uses a fraction of the water and leaves the fiber clean and bare, so there's no soapy film for dirt to cling to.
✓Stays cleaner about 3× longerOn average, carpet cleaned our way holds its look about three times longer between visits than carpet left with detergent residue in it.
✓No re-soiling a month laterThe gray path that reappears a few weeks after a cleaning is almost always residue pulling soil back. Take the residue away and it stops happening.
✓Dry in about an hourA fraction of the water means no soaked carpet and no box fans running all evening. Furniture, kids and dogs are back on it the same afternoon.

Questions East Ridge homeowners ask

What does dry in about an hour actually depend on?

On how little water goes in. A soapy machine drenches the fiber and then tries to pull the water back out, which is why that carpet stays damp into the next day. Our process puts a fraction of that into the pile, breaks the film holding the soil, and lifts it up and out with very little moisture left behind, so a living room finished at ten is being walked on by eleven. Furniture goes back the same afternoon, and nothing tacky is left down in the fiber.

Will you clean a sofa tagged S or X, or only the W ones?

All four codes. The technician reads the care tag on every piece before starting, because the code decides the method: W, S, WS and X are four different jobs. Low moisture is the safe answer across the board, solvent-only and delicate fabrics included, and you hear exactly how your piece will be handled at the door, before a price is written down. Sofas start at $140, recliners typically run $40 to $50, and if the technician thinks a fabric will not come up the way you want, you hear that first too.

Is what you put down safe for a toddler and a dog an hour later?

Yes. Nothing that goes on your floor is toxic, so the baby gate goes back and the dog comes in off the porch the same morning. The odor side of pet work uses an enzyme treatment that breaks urine down where it soaked in, and our 100% pet odor removal guarantee covers it. Pet treatment typically runs $30 to $40 a room, with pet visits starting at $149.

Do you work the streets off South Moore Road?

Yes, that side of town is on our route every week. South Moore Road, Germantown Road, Spring Creek Road, McBrien Road and Belvoir Avenue are all inside our normal East Ridge route. Three rooms start at $109 on those streets, the same as they do downtown, and the technician measures the floor before telling you a total.

Can you get to East Ridge the same day?

Often, especially when you call in the morning. East Ridge is 3.8 miles from downtown Chattanooga, ten or twelve minutes out I-24 or straight through the tunnels on Ringgold Road, and the technician who comes is local to this side of town. Same-day depends on what is already on the board. If we cannot get there today we will say so instead of giving you a window we cannot hold.
