Carpet, Rug & Upholstery Specialist

Red Bank, TN
An 1881 postmaster's wife renamed this place for the bank of bare dirt outside her window. We clean what that dirt does to a floor, and the room is dry and back in use about an hour later.

The straight answer
LocalPro cleans carpet in Red Bank from $109, which covers three rooms up to 450 square feet. The drive is ten to eighteen minutes from downtown Chattanooga, up Highway 27 and back onto Dayton Boulevard. The fine dirt this town is named for is lifted out of the fiber.
A single bedroom, one staircase or one small area rug still gets a clock time of its own instead of a two-hour window, and whoever knocks is one of our own trained technicians.
Call 423-284-0493 and walk us through the rooms. Or text 423-284-0493 a photo of the worst of it and we will tell you what it takes to put right.
Our Promise
Not a credit toward next time. Not a manager who stops returning calls. Tell us what fell short, we come back and redo it at no charge, and if it still isn't right, we tear up the invoice and you owe nothing.
By the piece
Why this town is different
Red Bank answered to Pleasant Hill until 1881. That year the first postmaster's wife renamed the community for the bank of bare dirt visible from a window in her house, and the name stuck. It is the only town on our routes named after its own soil.
That is not a quaint footnote once you are standing on the carpet. The city sits in the Stringer's Branch valley at the foot of Walden's Ridge, and the residential streets climb hillsides that were cut straight into that dirt. Fresh cut banks, yard edges and driveway shoulders all put that soil within a few steps of a front door.
Staining is the whole difference. Ordinary gray grit rides on the surface of a fiber and a vacuum takes most of it back out, while the fine dirt here grabs the fiber and leaves color behind after the loose grit is gone. On a light nylon carpet that reads as a dull cast down the middle of the room, and plenty of people decide the floor is worn out when it is only soiled.
The local version of the problem is three things landing at once: a driveway on a slope, a front door that opens straight onto it, and a household with kids or a dog in it. Any one of those is manageable on its own. Together they put dirt into the same six feet of carpet every single day for a month. Our low-moisture carpet cleaning is built around that exact band of floor.
The fabrics
Red Bank hands us more variety than most towns: a nylon carpet in one house, a wool rug over bare boards in the next, a microfibre sectional, a cotton-covered armchair marked S on its tag. The job changes with each one, and so does the method. What does not change is that our technician reads the care tag first, every time.
The codes on those tags matter. W means a water-based solution is safe, S means solvent only, WS means either, and X means vacuum only and nothing wet. A soaking clean has one setting and hopes for the best. Our low-moisture process can be matched to all four, which is why a silk rug and a polyester one get cleaned on the same visit without the silk being put at risk.
The clean itself goes deeper for the same reason. A measured amount of solution gets down under the pile, breaks the grip the soil has on the fiber, and brings it back up. Nothing sticky stays behind, the fiber comes out damp, and the floor holds that clean about three times longer than one washed with soap.
Where a house has carpet in only one or two bedrooms, area rug cleaning matters more than a room count, and the work happens on the floor the rug already lies on. It stays in the room the whole time. Where the streets angle up off Dayton Boulevard, a fully carpeted staircase is exactly where the dirt ends up, and the treads are taken by hand.
Our week here
Four kinds of job make up most of what Red Bank calls us for. The first is dirt ground into the traffic lanes and worked down into the stair treads. The second is the entry room off a hillside driveway, where the carpet inside the door has gone a full shade darker than the carpet ten feet further in.
Third is the landlord turn. With as many duplexes and small apartment buildings as Red Bank has, somebody is always between tenants, and a move-out carpet cleaning has to be finished and dry before the walk-through.
Fourth is the dog. White Oak Park sits between Ben Miller Parkway and Pine Breeze Road with a dog park and a walking path through it, and the Godsey Ridge Trail adds another mile and a half of ground. What comes back on four wet feet goes straight into the hall carpet. Pet treatment for the stain and the smell works on what soaked down into the backing, under a 100% pet odor removal guarantee.
The couch usually needs the same attention, because that is where the dog lands next. Upholstery cleaning is done in place with the same low-moisture method, on the same visit.
Proof, not stock
Our technicians photograph the floor before they start and again when they finish, and the owner went through all of it to pick what sits on this page. None of it is stock photography and none of it was set up for a camera.
Worth knowing while you look: carpet that its owner had already written off is the sort we get called to most, and a lane that looks permanent usually is not. Every one of these was a paying customer's floor on the day our crew stood in the room.

Pricing
Three rooms up to 450 square feet start at $109. A fourth room is typically $40 to $50, an oversized one around $50 to $100. Hallways typically go on at $20 to $30 apiece. Stairs typically price at $40 to $50 the flight.
Working the entry lane harder is a high-traffic add-on, typically $20 to $30 for each room it applies to. Protectant typically sits at the same $20 to $30 per room, and a visit carrying it starts at $119. Pet stain and odor treatment typically runs $30 to $40 in each room it applies to, and upholstery goes by the piece, starting at $40 for a recliner and $140 for a sofa. Rugs typically run, on average, $1 to $2 a square foot regardless of fiber, so wool, silk and hand-knotted Oriental cost what the polyester rug in the den costs, and all of them get cleaned on the floor they already lie on.
Nothing of yours leaves the house, and nothing gets added to the total once we are inside. The full price sheet is online, or call 423-284-0493 and we will put a number on it while you describe the rooms.

from $1093 rooms cleaned
We cover every address in Red Bank and all 29 towns on our routes — the same trained technicians and the same guarantee at every one of them.
That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays there, and sticky fiber grabs the next soil that walks through the door.

We work the whole city, from City Hall on Dayton Boulevard down to the Town Center corner where Morrison Springs Road meets the boulevard. Red Bank Central Park holds the old middle and high school site, historic walls and all, Norma Cagle Park keeps the softball fields at Memorial Drive and James Avenue, and a piece of Stringer's Ridge sits inside the city limits.
If your street is not on that list, it is still ours. Red Bank is a small enclave surrounded on all sides by Chattanooga, so no address in Red Bank, TN is out of our way.
Because up here it sits exposed instead of buried. The streets above Dayton Boulevard climb hillsides cut into that same bank at the foot of Walden's Ridge, so every cut bank, yard edge and driveway shoulder exposes the same dirt that the valley floor keeps buried under topsoil. That dirt is what stains.
Further than most owners expect. Fine dirt does not rest on the surface the way gray grit does, because it binds to the fiber, so a household vacuum lifts the loose dust and leaves the color sitting there. We work the lanes with very little water in the fiber, and what a vacuum could not reach comes up with it. Three rooms up to 450 square feet start at $109, and you have the figure on paper before anything starts. Love the clean or it's free.
Yes, and it is why the entry room takes the worst of it in Red Bank. A sloped drive collects fine dirt at the bottom, right where people park and get out, and those fines ride in on shoes and stay in the first ten feet of carpet. We pre-treat that band before the main pass so the soil lets go. A high-traffic pass over that band typically adds $20 to $30 per room, stairs typically come to $40 to $50 for the flight, and every visit starts at $99.
Yes. Red Bank has a lot of duplexes and small apartment buildings for a town its size, so somebody is always between tenants. We quote each unit on its own, starting at $99, and a unit worked at nine is ready for a two o'clock showing. Book several units on one morning and we schedule them back to back so nobody waits on us.
Right on top of it. Red Bank City Park sits on Dayton Boulevard across from the Food City shopping center and the branch cuts straight through the middle of it, and we clean houses on both banks. The process is the same on every street: the technician matches the method to the fiber and leaves very little water in the pile. Call 423-284-0493 and tell us the street.
