North of the river, off 153 and Hixson Pike
People here still give directions by Northgate Mall. A good half of the addresses we take over the phone start with how far past Northgate you are.
Hamill Road carries the two places everybody names. Greenway Farm runs along North Chickamauga Creek, and CHI Memorial Hixson sits on Hamill Road, which is the employer most people say when you ask where they work.
Chester Frost Park, out at 7872 Causeway Road, takes up 280 acres on a peninsula in the lake and hosts the Hamilton County Fair every September. If fair week is the week you take off, book the Saturday before it rather than the one after.
