Clean carpet across a sunlit front room after a low-moisture cleaning

Rock Spring Carpet Cleaning for Farm Households

The dirt that comes through a door out here started in a poultry house or a hay field, and it does not behave like town dirt. We take it out of the base of the pile with very little water.

In one paragraph

Carpet cleaning in Rock Spring, Georgia is a low-moisture clean: three rooms and up to 450 square feet in one visit. Rock Spring sits about sixteen miles south of downtown Chattanooga, straight down US-27, roughly twenty-five minutes. The technician measures the rooms, tells you what each floor can still do, and gets on with it.

The run down

Twenty-five minutes down 27, and back in use the same afternoon

From downtown Chattanooga the route out is US-27 the whole way, south past Fort Oglethorpe, to where Highway 95 comes in at the tag office corner. Twenty-five minutes, traffic allowing.

Three rooms and 450 square feet of carpet go on one visit, and the low-moisture method leaves very little water in the pile. Say your room count over the phone at 423-284-0493 and somebody who knows these roads will hold you a morning.

The technician measures every room first and tells you plainly what is going to come out of each floor and what is not. Nobody out here gets talked into a whole house they did not ring up about. Georgia is on our board six days a week, so crossing the line is nothing special and no mileage lands on a Rock Spring invoice.

What lands on these floors

Farm soil, not lawn soil

Walker County is farm country, and most of that farming sits here, on the roads off US-27, rather than in the built-out towns closer to the state line. A poultry house or a hay field is where a good share of what lands on a Rock Spring carpet started out.

Poultry-house dust does not act like yard dirt. It is fine, dry and persistent, it works down to the backing where a vacuum head cannot follow it, and it carries an odor that sets into fabric and stays put. Hay and feed chaff come in on sleeves and trouser cuffs. Diesel and shop grime come off the equipment and off the hands that worked on it.

A soapy clean makes it worse. Detergent dries tacky down in the pile and catches the next week of dust. Our low-moisture carpet cleaning pulls the soil out and leaves no residue for dust to stick to, and carpet done this way stays clean roughly three times longer before it needs us again.

Odor work is explained standing in the room and agreed before it happens. The antibacterial sanitizer goes on the rooms you pick, and the technician says which ones he thinks will repay it. Nothing we carry in is harsh either: the solutions are gentle enough for a house where the farm dog and the toddler share the same stretch of floor.

How the work is done

The tag gets read before the van gets unloaded

Houses out here sit at the end of long private drives with the mailbox at the road, and whatever the property produces gets carried the length of that drive and then down the hallway. The lanes through these rooms go dark long before the corners do, so that is where the technician starts, once he has walked the whole floor with you.

Before a bottle is opened, every rug and every piece of furniture going on the ticket has its care tag read. W, S, WS or X: the code decides the method, and the method is the only thing it changes, so a solvent-only or delicate fabric is handled the way its tag says. The low-moisture process puts a small amount of solution into the fiber and lifts the soil out with it, instead of drenching a fabric that was never built to be soaked.

The clean goes deeper than a rinse-and-hope job because the soil is drawn up and out of the pile, and nothing sticky is left behind. The carpet is dry in about an hour, so a room done before lunch is back in use before the afternoon chores start.

Lanes that have been walked for a decade get the high-traffic treatment, and we say up front whether we think it will earn its place on your floor. Everyone who works on your floor is on our payroll and trained on our own equipment.

Real floors

The same process, room after room

What you are looking at is our own work. The technician photographs the floor, cleans it, and photographs it again before packing the van, and the owner chose these out of the whole collection. Every frame is a paying customer's room on the day we were in it.

Pricing

Room by room, with the odor work included

The technician measures every room before a figure goes on the sheet, and the sheet he writes it on is the one you sign. Every visit starts at $99, so one bedroom and a hallway is still worth the drive out.

Three rooms, one visitfrom $109450 sq ft counted across them, walkable in about an hour
Rooms and stairs after thattypically $40–$50A long front room typically $50 to $100, a hallway $20 to $30, a flight of stairs $40 to $50
Protectant and sanitizer roomstypically $20–$30Those visits start at $119; pet rooms typically $30 to $40, pet visits from $149
Rugs and furniturefrom $1/sq ftDining chair typically $10 to $15, sofa from $140, every piece done in the house

Pet odor work earns its place out here, because a dog that works outside all day brings the field home with him. The treatment digests what soaked in, and it carries our 100% pet odor removal guarantee.

Every area rug gets the same start, whatever it is made of. Wool, silk, hand-knotted Oriental, machine-made synthetic: each one is worked at the pace it can take, flat on the floor it already sits on, so no rug of yours is rolled up and hauled away. Upholstery goes on the same ticket, which makes it one trip down 27.

Love the clean or it's free. A room that is not what you wanted gets another pass before the van leaves your drive, and a visit that still misses costs you nothing. That line is printed on the same sheet you signed.

Where we work

Around the 27 and 95 corner in 30739

Highway 95 ends where it meets US-27, and that intersection is what Rock Spring means in practice. Walker County moved its tag and tax office into a former bank building right there, with the Tax Commissioner right on Highway 95, so people drive in from the far end of the county to stand in that line.

Georgia Northwestern Technical College keeps its Walker County Campus at 265 Bicentennial Trail, and the driver services branch is here too, which for a good many people in this county is the only reason they ever turn off at Rock Spring. The courthouse is down in LaFayette, but a lot of the day-to-day errands land up here instead.

The schools set the clock on the side roads. Saddle Ridge Elementary and Middle runs PK through 8 under one roof with 673 students, and Rock Spring Elementary takes the rest. Center Grove Baptist Church at 68 Center Grove Church Road is where the precinct votes. Mountain Cove Farms, the resort the county owns, is south in the valley between Lookout and Pigeon Mountains.

The 30739 ZIP crosses into Catoosa County, so a Rock Spring address is not automatically a Walker County address. It makes no difference at our end. Call or text 423-284-0493 with the road you live on and we will get you on the board.

Stays cleaner 3× Longer between cleanings on average vs. a soapy conventional clean

Ever had carpet turn sticky a week after a cleaning?

That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays there, and sticky fiber grabs the next soil that walks through the door.

✓Nothing sticky left behindOur low-moisture process uses a fraction of the water and leaves the fiber clean and bare, so there's no soapy film for dirt to cling to.
✓Stays cleaner about 3× longerOn average, carpet cleaned our way holds its look about three times longer between visits than carpet left with detergent residue in it.
✓No re-soiling a month laterThe gray path that reappears a few weeks after a cleaning is almost always residue pulling soil back. Take the residue away and it stops happening.
✓Dry in about an hourA fraction of the water means no soaked carpet and no box fans running all evening. Furniture, kids and dogs are back on it the same afternoon.

Questions farm households ask

Can you get poultry-house odor out of a carpet, or only cover it?

We take it out. Poultry-house dust is fine enough to settle right at the backing, and the smell rides on the dust, so the smell goes when the dust goes. Our low-moisture clean lifts that layer out and leaves nothing tacky for the next load to cling to. Where the odor has sat in the fiber for years the technician puts sanitizer on the worst rooms and tells you at the door what it will and will not do. If the room does not come back right, tell the technician before he loads up. He goes over it again, and a visit that still misses is on us, not you.

What does the sanitizer treatment actually do to a smell?

It goes after the bacteria living in the soil down at the backing, which is what turns a damp or dirty floor sour. It is not a fragrance and it does not mask anything. It is laid down after the clean, on the rooms you choose rather than the whole house, and the technician will say which ones he thinks need it and which do not.

Is feed chaff worse for carpet than ordinary house dust?

It is harder on the carpet. Chaff and feed dust are coarse and dry, they drop straight through the pile, and every step afterwards grinds them into the fiber where no vacuum head can follow. House dust mostly dulls the color. Chaff wears the carpet out. Lanes that have taken years of it get our high-traffic treatment, and we say first whether we think your floor will show enough of a difference to be worth having done.

Some Rock Spring addresses are in Catoosa County: do you still come?

Yes. The 30739 ZIP reaches across the county line, so plenty of Rock Spring mailboxes are not Walker County mailboxes, and that changes nothing at our end. Three rooms start at $109 on either side of that line, every visit starts at $99, and no mileage is added for the run down US-27. Give the road you live on to whoever picks up at 423-284-0493 and we will find you.

Do you need water and power at the house, or do you bring your own?

An ordinary wall outlet is all we ask for, and the solutions come with us. Our low-moisture process uses a sliver of the water a soaking clean would, so the kitchen tap or the spigot on the porch is plenty for a whole house. If the place is sitting empty with the power or the water cut off, tell us that when you book so the crew arrives loaded for it. Our days run Monday to Saturday, 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening, and nothing goes out on a Sunday.
