The short answer

Sale Creek carpet cleaning takes the first three rooms and the 450 square feet between them on one visit, and you are walking on it again roughly an hour after we finish. Thirty miles of US-27 separate downtown Chattanooga from your driveway, so this ZIP runs on scheduled days. Rugs and furniture are matched to their own cleaning codes before anything is poured.

The drive

A scheduled route day, and a clock time you can hold us to

Sale Creek sits fourteen miles past Soddy-Daisy on US-27, about forty minutes north of the river. That is why we set a day aside for this end of the valley.

US-27 is the only road through, so nobody up here gives an address as a street first. It comes as how far north or south of the school, or of the marina turn, then the road name. Tell us that much and we know where the van is going.

Three rooms take in 450 square feet counted together, and very little water goes down on any of them. Call 423-284-0493, give whoever answers your room count, and you will hear the next day we are headed north before you hang up.

What we will not do is claim we can be there this afternoon. A firm Thursday beats a maybe on Tuesday, and the whole house booked onto that Thursday makes the mileage nobody's problem.

What comes in the door

Barn boots twice a day, and nobody taking them off

Front room carpet cleaned in a rural Sale Creek home

Sale Creek is farm country as much as it is lake country. The school's own profile describes families running small agricultural operations alongside the teachers and engineers, which is a plain way of saying a good share of these households have stock or ground to see to before breakfast.

So the load on a Sale Creek floor is not household dust. It is hay chaff, barn lime, pasture mud and the fine gray powder that lifts off an unpaved lane in a dry August. Heavier material, a lot more of it, and sharp enough to feel under a bare foot.

It arrives twice a day at least, on boots nobody is pulling off at the step, because they are going back out in twenty minutes. A boot tray does not fix that. What fixes it is getting the packed material out of the base of the pile a couple of times a year, and that is what our low-moisture carpet cleaning is built to do.

What we work with is mild stuff, gentle enough for a house where the barn dog sleeps on the same rug the grandchildren play on. Nothing left in the fiber afterwards needs the room cleared of either of them once it is dry.

What the visit covers

Carpet, rugs and the good chair, each handled by its tag

A whole-house day up here usually takes in more than carpet. There is the rug in the front room, the sofa the dog claimed, and a wing chair that came from somebody's mother, and each one carries a care code the technician reads before a bottle comes out of the bag.

W means a water-based clean, S solvent only, WS either of the two, and X a vacuum and nothing wetter. Those codes decide the method. The figure you agreed to at the door stays put. A solvent-only wool rug and a machine-made synthetic are handled two different ways, and both get cleaned flat, right there on your own floor.

On the carpet itself, the technician measures each room, marks the lanes that took the barn traffic, and works out what is really on the floor before the first pass. Lanes that have carried years of it get the high-traffic treatment, and you hear first whether we think your floor will show the difference.

The crew is ours, trained on our own equipment. Say so before the van leaves the drive if a room is not right; we redo it, and if it still is not right the visit is free.

The method, and why it counts for more up here

Why we do not leave a wet carpet up here

Thirty miles is the reason. A soaking clean leaves a floor wet for the better part of a day, and if something is wrong two days later it is a forty-minute run back up the valley to look at it. So we do not leave a wet carpet this far from downtown Chattanooga, and with this process we never need to.

The whole case in one sentence: a small amount of solution goes into the fiber, loosens the soil at the base of the pile, and comes back out with it on the same pass instead of driving it deeper. The pile ends up damp, and the same light hand is what makes the process safer on a delicate or solvent-only fabric than any method that starts by drenching it.

There is a second payoff. Nothing sticky is left down in the fiber, so the clean holds about three times longer before the lanes start greying again. On a floor taking farm traffic twice a day, that is twice a year instead of four times.

The same plain dealing shapes the rest of it: a scheduled day, a whole house done in one go, and the guarantee written on the same sheet you sign. Love the clean or it is free, thirty miles out the same as downtown.

The work itself

What the process does to a floor somebody gave up on

Our technicians photograph what they clean, and the owner went through the whole company file to choose what shows here. Worn lanes, gray around a stove, front rooms written off. Every one of them is a real customer's carpet.

Pricing

What a whole-house day takes in

The first three rooms start at $109 and cover 450 square feet between them. Everything after that is measured with you standing in the room, so the day is planned around what your house actually holds.

Three rooms, one route dayfrom $109450 sq ft counted together, walkable an hour later
Area rugs, per square footfrom $1Every fiber, cleaned inside your house
Rooms and stairs after thattypically $40–$50A big front room typically $50 to $100, a hallway $20 to $30, high-traffic lanes $20 to $30 a room. Every visit starts at $99.
Pet roomstypically $30–$40/roomPet visits from $149; protectant or sanitizer typically $20 to $30 a room on visits from $119; sofas from $140

Area rug cleaning takes its lead from the label sewn onto the rug, whatever it is made of. Wool, silk, a hand-knotted Oriental: each one is handled the way its own code says. We clean the rug flat, in the room it already sits in, and nothing of yours leaves the house, which matters more when the house is forty minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

Rooms that need pet stain and odor removal get a treatment that digests what soaked in, and it is backed by a 100% pet odor removal guarantee. A protectant or sanitizer pass goes on the rooms you pick, and furniture is done on the same trip, so the good chair is not waiting on another route day.

Bundling is the right way to buy this out here. Carpet, rugs and furniture on one scheduled day means one setup, one written total, no second appointment two weeks out. Full list on our pricing page.

Stays cleaner 3× Longer between cleanings on average vs. a soapy conventional clean

Ever had carpet turn sticky a week after a cleaning?

That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays there, and sticky fiber grabs the next soil that walks through the door.

✓Nothing sticky left behindOur low-moisture process uses a fraction of the water and leaves the fiber clean and bare, so there's no soapy film for dirt to cling to.
✓Stays cleaner about 3× longerOn average, carpet cleaned our way holds its look about three times longer between visits than carpet left with detergent residue in it.
✓No re-soiling a month laterThe gray path that reappears a few weeks after a cleaning is almost always residue pulling soil back. Take the residue away and it stops happening.
✓Dry in about an hourA fraction of the water means no soaked carpet and no box fans running all evening. Furniture, kids and dogs are back on it the same afternoon.

Questions from up the valley

Riverside Marina on Chickamauga Lake, which half the community still calls Sale Creek Marina. The middle and high school on 27, one building for grades six through twelve, going since 1908, about 600 kids in it. Shipley Hollow Road, which somebody always brings up before we do. Here is what gets asked up that way.

Which days do you run the route north of Soddy-Daisy?

We hold set days for the stretch of US-27 above Soddy-Daisy, because thirty miles each way is a real piece of a technician's day. Call 423-284-0493 and we will tell you the next day we are coming up, and put you on it with a clock time. Phones are answered Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and nobody runs on a Sunday. If you need us sooner than the next scheduled day, say so and you will get an honest answer either way.

Is barn lime harder on carpet than ordinary grit?

It behaves differently, and that is what makes it stubborn. Barn lime arrives as powder, so it drops to the base of the pile and packs in where a vacuum head skates over the top of it. House dust sits higher and comes out easily. The lime needs solution worked down into the fiber and lifted back out on the same pass. That is what a low-moisture clean does, and no sticky residue stays behind to catch the next load.

What does low moisture actually mean once you are standing in my front room?

It means a measured amount of solution goes into the carpet, and most of it comes back out on the same pass with the soil in it. The pile ends up damp and takes foot traffic again in about an hour. It also means the process is the safer choice across every cleaning code, W, S, WS or X, because a fabric that cannot take water never gets soaked in it. Our technician reads the care tag on any rug or piece of furniture before starting and tells you at the door how each one will be handled. Cracking two windows on opposite sides of the house moves the drying along on a still day.

Is it cheaper to do the whole house in one trip out here?

It is the sensible way to buy it, and the price list does not change thirty miles north of downtown. The first three rooms start at $109 and cover 450 square feet. A fourth bedroom is typically $40 to $50, a big front room $50 to $100, a hallway $20 to $30, a flight of stairs $40 to $50. Area rugs start at a dollar a square foot, cleaned in the room they already sit in. Putting carpet, rugs and furniture on one scheduled visit means one setup and one written total instead of three trips up the valley.

Do you work near the marina and Shipley Hollow Road?

Yes. Riverside Marina, which people around here still call Sale Creek Marina, along with Shipley Hollow Road and the roads running off US-27 by the school, are all inside our normal Sale Creek run. Every address in 37373 gets the same three-room visit and the same trained crew, whichever end of that road you sit on. Give us the road and how far north or south of the school you are, and we know the drive before we load the van.
