Getting up here

Thirty minutes out I-24, valley floor or bluff top

Jasper carpet cleaning starts at $109 for three rooms and the 450 square feet between them. Marion County advertises its industrial park as twenty miles west of Chattanooga, which puts our van at your door in roughly half an hour on I-24. The climb after that is ours to plan around.

There is a second version of that distance, and it comes from the top of the mountain, where the community measures the trip as twenty-five minutes from the base of the climb down into Chattanooga. Both numbers are honest. Either one leaves us the whole morning to work in.

Call 423-284-0493 and tell us how many carpeted rooms are in the house, plus one more thing: in town, or up at Jasper Highlands. That second answer decides what time we arrive and nothing else about the job. You can also pick a slot online.

What makes this town different

The mountain road is part of the job

Jasper Highlands spreads across the top of the escarpment and is still building. That is not a finished neighborhood. It is a finished house parked beside an active road crew, and the difference lands on your floor.

Grading opens cut banks. Trucks use the same road the residents use. Whatever a tire throws onto that surface travels up a drive, across a porch and onto the first few feet of carpet inside the door, and it keeps arriving for as long as the next phase is being cut out of the ridge.

The climb matters to us more than the mileage does. Jasper sits low at 620 feet, out on the southwestern floor of the Sequatchie Valley with the Cumberland Plateau standing over it to the north and west, and the houses we clean up top sit on the bluff above that. A loaded van takes the grade slowly, so the climb is built into the arrival window we give you.

The practical result is that the first stretch inside a bluff-top front door wears far harder than the rest of the house. We work that entry run and the stairs as their own piece of the job. Our low-moisture carpet cleaning pulls dry soil back out on very little water.

One ZIP, two kinds of job

Bluff-top rugs and valley-floor carpet inside 37347

Large area rug cleaned in place in the great room of a newly built house

Jasper, Kimball and the mountain over them all share one ZIP code, and the houses inside it could not be less alike.

Up top the lots run one to five acres, close to 100 miles of trails run through the development, and directions get given by Top of the Rock and the Mountain Market. The development rises above both Jasper and Kimball, so an address up there sits outside either town's limits, and it still gets the same technician and the same care with the fiber as a house on the square.

Down on the floor, Jasper is a courthouse town dating to 1820, and the square is still how people say where they live. Kimball is the other half of the ZIP, around Kimball Crossing Drive at Exit 152. The in-town street list is genuinely short. Our crews learn it in a season.

What does not change between the two is how the work is done. Our technician reads the care tag before anything is unloaded and matches the solution to the fiber and its code, W, S, WS or X. Low moisture is the safer method on all four, the solvent-only and the delicate tags most of all, and it never soaks the pile to begin with. The soil comes up and out rather than being pushed down toward the backing, so the clean holds about three times longer. Everything used on it is non-toxic and safe for kids and pets.

Two phone calls, two different jobs

What each half calls us for

The split between the valley and the bluff is the sharpest one anywhere on our routes, and it shows up in what people ask for before the technician is through the front door.

Bluff-top houses are new construction bought largely by relocation and retirement buyers. Those plans put hard flooring through the living areas with a large area rug laid over it, and keep carpet in the bedrooms and on the stairs. So the job up there is usually one substantial rug, two or three bedrooms and a flight, ordered by somebody who moved from a place with a professional standard and has no intention of dropping it here.

A rug like that gets the dye tested and the fiber read before a solution is chosen, silk, wool and hand-knotted Oriental alike, and no weave is treated as an afterthought because it is the expensive one. We work on the rug in the room it belongs to and it never goes out your door, which counts for more than usual when the nearest anything is at the bottom of a mountain.

Valley work is plainer and just as welcome. Courthouse-square houses, rental turns, three rooms and a hall, and households where somebody clocks in at one of the county's plants. A good share of the county clocks in at a plant or a foundry, and the soil that comes home on those boots is fine, dark and dry.

Pet work reaches down to the depth the odor soaked to, with our 100% pet odor removal guarantee behind it. In a county this rural the dog goes out onto real ground and comes back in through the same door.

Our own camera roll

What a finished floor looks like beside a dirty one

Our technicians carry a camera to every job. The owner looked at what they have brought back, across the whole company, and these two made the cut: real customer floors, no picture library, nothing arranged for the shot.

What the visit includes

One standard at both elevations

These are the Jasper and Kimball figures. Standing at 620 feet or on the bluff does not change a line of it.

The workStarting at
Three rooms together, 450 sq ftfrom $109
Each extra roomtypically $40–50
Great room or other large spacetypically $50–100
Halltypically $20–30
Stairs, each flighttypically $40–50
High-traffic lane work, a roomtypically $20–30
Pet stain and odor, a room (pet visit starts around $149)typically $30–40
Protectant or sanitizer, a room (visit starts at $119)typically $20–30
Area rug, done in place, a square footfrom $1
Sofafrom $140
Sectionalfrom $240
Every visitfrom $99

There is no mountain rate on that sheet and there never has been. It is the same list we work to in town, and the climb out of the valley is ours to absorb. The whole set of numbers lives on the pricing page if you want to read it before you ring.

Sofas start at $140 and a sectional from $240, and every piece of furniture carries its own figure on the same visit. One written total covers the lot, on one trip up the hill.

If a room falls short of what we described at the door, say so while the technician is still on site and you pay nothing at all for the visit. Love the clean or it's free, printed on the quote you signed.

Stays cleaner 3× Longer between cleanings on average vs. a soapy conventional clean

Ever had carpet turn sticky a week after a cleaning?

That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays there, and sticky fiber grabs the next soil that walks through the door.

✓Nothing sticky left behindOur low-moisture process uses a fraction of the water and leaves the fiber clean and bare, so there's no soapy film for dirt to cling to.
✓Stays cleaner about 3× longerOn average, carpet cleaned our way holds its look about three times longer between visits than carpet left with detergent residue in it.
✓No re-soiling a month laterThe gray path that reappears a few weeks after a cleaning is almost always residue pulling soil back. Take the residue away and it stops happening.
✓Dry in about an hourA fraction of the water means no soaked carpet and no box fans running all evening. Furniture, kids and dogs are back on it the same afternoon.

Questions from the valley and the bluff

Do you actually drive up to Jasper Highlands?

Yes, and the climb is ours to worry about. Send the gate code along with your booking, or leave our name at the entrance, then tell us how far past the Mountain Market and Top of the Rock you sit, because people up there give directions by those rather than by street name. Our low-moisture equipment is compact and takes the grade without complaint. Three rooms and the 450 square feet between them start at $109 at the top of that road exactly as they do on the square in town. Call 423-284-0493.

Is the price different at the top of the mountain than in town?

No. One sheet covers both elevations. Three rooms cover 450 square feet between them and start at $109. After that a room is typically priced between $40 and $50, a great room usually between $50 and $100, a hall typically between $20 and $30, and each flight of stairs usually between $40 and $50. Rugs start at a dollar for each square foot. Every visit starts at $99. The climb costs us daylight rather than costing you money, and the full total is agreed in writing before anything is sprayed.

Can you clean big area rugs where they lie in the great room?

That is the only way we do it. Your rug is cleaned flat in the room it belongs to, and it never leaves the house. The rate starts at a dollar for each square foot of it, with no premium for a natural weave, so silk, wool and Oriental all land on that one number. A 9 by 12 works out to 108 square feet. Very little moisture goes into the pile, which is why the rug is ready to walk on an hour or so later, along with the carpet around it.

How much construction grit ends up in a brand-new house?

More than a two-year-old house has any right to hold. Jasper Highlands still has roughly 950 acres to plat out of 8,893, so grading, cut banks and truck traffic are current neighbors. Dry soil off a road that is still being cut comes in on boots and paws and settles down near the backing, where it shows as a gray entry lane long before anybody would call it a stain. High-traffic treatment typically runs $20 to $30 per room and goes only on the rooms that have earned it. The rest of the house usually cleans up inside the standard three rooms from $109.

Do you cover Kimball on the same trip?

Yes. Kimball shares ZIP 37347 with Jasper and adjoins it, so both towns fall on one run out I-24 and you get a single appointment and a single invoice. Kimball Crossing Drive at Exit 152 is the corner most people give us as a landmark. The price list is identical either side of that line: three rooms from $109, every visit starting at $99, and the total written down before any work starts. Two houses on one street can take the same morning if that suits you both.

South Pittsburg is the next stop toward the state line, Whitwell runs up State Route 28 into the valley, and Signal Mountain is the ridge standing over the river on the way back toward Chattanooga. We publish a route to 29 towns and Jasper is one of them, worked by the same crew to the same standard as the ones in sight of downtown.

Landmarks do the work of street names out this way. The industrial park sits along the river under the Nickajack lock and dam, the airport is a few miles southeast of downtown, and Nickajack Lake is what nearly everybody points at first. Tell us which of those you live off and the technician will find your door.

One thing about the clock. Jasper keeps Central time and our calendar runs on Chattanooga time, an hour ahead of you. When we agree on a time over the phone we say it in Jasper hours. The online calendar and the written confirmation run on Eastern time, so a 9 AM slot there is 8 AM on your clock. If anything ever reads an hour out, ring 423-284-0493 and we will straighten it out before the day arrives.
