What you are looking at

Room carpet mostly, then stairs, sofas and rugs

Plain room carpet accounts for 36 of the 42 pairs on this page: bedrooms, living rooms, the patch of floor a recliner sits on. After that come sofas and chairs, stair flights, and the odd area rug cleaned on the customer's own floor, because rugs are never carried off to a plant.

The same problems keep turning up. A gray lane from the front door to wherever people sit down. A dark line at the baseboards, where years of air have been pulled through the carpet edge. Pet spots, which photograph small and smell like something a good deal bigger.

Dirt rides in on boots most of the year, and it grinds down into the pile where a surface wash never gets all of it. Our process works the soil loose at the base of the fiber and lifts it out. The bigger swings on this page all come from that. Stair treads, worked by hand one at a time, are usually the clearest example.

How the set gets picked

Why some show the finished floor on its own

A before and an after belong side by side when the phone was in the same spot both times. Plenty of ours were not, because the technician shot the mess on the way in and the result on the way out with both hands full. Those run as the finished frame alone rather than as a pair where a changed angle does half the arguing.

A few never go up at all. If a hose is still lying across the after shot, if the room got caught mid-job with half the floor done, or if the light shifted enough between the two frames to do the cleaning for us, the pair stays out of the gallery.

If yours looks like one of these

How the same result happens on your floor

Three rooms of carpet start at $109 and cover 450 square feet. Sofas, recliners and sectionals are taken piece by piece, with the care tag read before a cushion is lifted. Area rugs are measured and cleaned right where they lie, any fiber, wool and silk and hand-knotted Oriental alike, with nothing carried out of the house. Pet spots get a treatment of their own, because an old urine ring and a spilled cup of coffee never come out the same way.

Call 423-284-0493 and describe the room the way you would over the fence: what the spot is, how long it has been there, what has already been poured on it. Nothing gets switched on until the full number is on paper and you have said yes to it.

You can also text us at 423-284-0493 to get on the schedule. It is the same number you would ring, and it reaches the same people.

The carpet cleaning page covers the low-moisture process behind these floors, and pet stain and odor removal covers the spots that need the protein and enzyme treatment, under a 100% pet odor removal guarantee.

Questions people ask about these photos

Are these photos from houses around Chattanooga?

Yes. Every pair on this page came off a job one of our own crews ran in this market. The phone that took the picture belongs to the person who did the work.

Do you photograph every job?

No. A technician shoots the floors worth shooting, so a good share of the jobs we complete never leave a pair behind. Nobody stops to document a light clean in a spare bedroom that already looked fine on the way in.

Why do some of these show only the finished floor?

Because the phone was not in the same place for both shots. When the angle shifts between the two frames, we publish the finished one on its own.

Will my carpet come out looking like the ones here?

Some of these move a shade and some are dramatic. Soil comes out, and a traffic lane is nearly always soil. Fiber walked flat over fifteen years, or color that bleach has already taken, is a different problem, and the technician tells you at the door which one you are looking at.
