Carpet cleaning in East Brainerd, counted room by room and dry in about an hour
East Brainerd is where a good share of our newest carpet lives, floors that have only been down a handful of years and have never been cleaned. Our own technician reads the fiber before anything is switched on, and the grit comes up out of the base of the pile.

What you can knock off this visit
Grab them while they are up. Say which one you want when you book, or hold your phone up to the technician at the door.
The first clean
A carpet that has never been cleaned is the easiest one to keep
The first proper clean a carpet gets sets the pattern for the rest of its life. Do it with a process that lifts the soil out and leaves nothing behind, and the floor has a clean base to start from. Do it with soap and a soaking, and the residue left in the pile starts pulling dirt back in the week the furniture goes back.
So we do not sell the first clean as a rescue. It is maintenance, done before the fiber has been worn from underneath, and it is the cheapest year of carpet ownership there is.
Protectant is the other half of that conversation on a newer floor. Put down after the clean, it slows how fast the next round of soil binds to the fiber, so the second and third cleans have less to do. The technician will tell you honestly whether your floor is a candidate for it.
What is actually underfoot
Two doors apart, two very different floors, one way of reading them

Two jobs on the same road can be a generation apart. One house is on its second or third floor covering, chosen by whoever owns it. The house next door is on its first, and nobody has ever cleaned it.
Young carpet is not dirty the way a floor left alone for fifteen years is dirty. It carries grit down at the base of the pile where a vacuum stops reaching, and that grit wears the fiber from underneath while the surface still looks fine.
Very little water goes into the pile when we pull that grit out. A bedroom goes back into service an hour or so later. The method itself is laid out on our low-moisture carpet cleaning page.
Either way the technician reads the fiber first. Nylon, polyester, a wool blend and a looped pile each want a slightly different touch, and whoever knocks here is a trained employee on our own payroll. The choice gets made properly and explained before the first pass.

What the change actually looks like
These came off our technicians' phones at the end of real visits. The owner went through the company's whole file and chose the ones worth showing.

How the quote gets counted
Only the carpeted rooms go on the count
Houses here are large and their carpet is not. Hard surface runs the entry, the kitchen and the living space. Carpet keeps the bedrooms, the upstairs hall and the stairs, and those are the rooms that get counted.
Count carpeted rooms and count flights before you dial. Three of those rooms start at $109 together, so long as they add up to 450 square feet or less. The rest of it is the technician's to go through in your own house: the fourth bedroom, the upstairs hall, a flight of stairs. He does it standing on the floor he is talking about, so none of it arrives as a surprise at the end.
Stairs are the line people forget, and in an attached house they are most of the work. A townhouse can put two flights between the garage and the top bedroom with very little carpet anywhere else in it. Give the carpeted room count and the flights to whoever answers at 423-284-0493 and the figure comes back while you are still on the line. Every rate sits on the pricing page as well.
Where we are headed
A road that has worn three names
East Brainerd Road is State Route 320, 7.3 miles of it, running from US-11/64 near the airport east to Ooltewah-Ringgold Road. It answered to Bird's Mill Road until 1926 and to Mission Road before that.
Directions still get given by the school. East Brainerd Elementary stands at East Brainerd and North Joiner, Concord Baptist has been here since 1848, and East Hamilton Middle and High opened in 2009 and is the reason a fair number of these families picked this side of the county.
East Brainerd is roughly twenty minutes from downtown Chattanooga, out I-75 to Shallowford or Gunbarrel. None of the drive shows up on your invoice.

Furniture, rugs and the dog
The care tag gets read before anything touches the fabric

Sofas, sectionals and dining chairs carry a small tag under the cushion with a letter on it: W, S, WS or X. It tells a trained technician which process the fabric can take, and ours reads it before a single piece of equipment is unpacked.
A low-moisture method is the safer choice across all four codes, the solvent-only and delicate fabrics included, because the fabric is never soaked and there is no long drying-out period for a dye to move or a seam to pucker in. What the tag says, and what that means for your piece, gets explained at the door along with the written price.
The rest of what gets added here is ordinary family wear. Area rugs are cleaned right where they lie, in the room you keep them in, wool and silk given the same unhurried handling as anything synthetic, which is covered on the in-home rug cleaning page. Sofas and chairs are worked piece by piece once that tag has been read. Where a dog has been part of the household, pet stain and odor work gets at the thing causing the smell, and our 100% pet odor removal guarantee covers the result.
One promise sits under the whole visit. Love the clean or it's free.

What East Brainerd callers ask first
Our carpet is only five years old and looks fine. Is it worth cleaning yet?
Yes, and this is the right time for it. Five or six years of a family walking on a floor puts grit down at the base of the pile, below where a vacuum reaches, and that grit wears the fiber from underneath long before anything looks dirty. A low-moisture clean lifts it out, and the carpet stays clean about three times longer than it would after a soapy one. Protectant typically runs $20 to $30 a room if you want the next few years to be easier, with the visit starting at $119.
The tag under the sofa cushion says S. Will you still clean it?
Yes. S means the fabric wants a solvent-based process rather than a water-based one, and a low-moisture method is the safer way to handle it, along with W, WS and even X fabrics that most people assume nobody will touch. The technician reads the tag before anything starts and explains at the door how that particular piece will be handled. A sofa starts at $140, the price is written down first, and if a piece is not a candidate you hear that on the spot.
Our downstairs has no carpet at all. What does an upstairs-only job cost?
The same as any other job, because we price the carpeted rooms and not the house. The first three carpeted rooms start at $109 between them, so long as they total 450 square feet or less. A fourth room is typically $40 to $50, an upstairs hallway typically $20 to $30, and every flight of stairs typically $40 to $50. Every visit starts at $99. Count the carpeted rooms and the flights before you call, and the number you hear on the phone is the number on the invoice.
